This is about as simple as it gets. If what you're doing
isn't directly tied to a specific and stated goal, then why are you doing it?
Of course if your specific and stated goals are not yet written down, well that
just wouldn't be SMART, now would it?
SMART Goals are: Specific - Measurable - Actionable -
Relevant - Timed
... and written down.
